Dear Tomorrow’s World Subscriber,

Greetings from Charlotte, NC! A warm welcome to the thousands of new subscribers since my last letter! We sincerely hope that Tomorrow’s World magazine helps all of you understand what really lies ahead in the prophetic events now beginning to unfold on the world scene. We also try to help you see the Big Picture of the events swirling around us, and how they tie in with the awesome Plan our Creator is working out here on earth.

Although many of us have been involved in Christ’s ministry for decades, this present Work has existed for only a comparatively few years. Yet, with our move to Charlotte for reasons of economy, we are already experiencing good growth and are beginning to have more impact. The Tomorrow’s Worldtelevision program is presently being carried on 164 TV stations around the world, with 136 of them right here in North America. In the past five years more than 200 half-hour TV programs have been produced, and in Canada and the United States combined, these hard-hitting, spiritually provocative programs have generated more than 360,000 requests for our free publications and audiotapes.

Also, the Tomorrow’s World program is on radio stations internationally in five languages, including English, French, Spanish, Afrikaans and a Filipino dialect. We are on Spanish and French stations in the Caribbean; our French-speaking director, Dibar Apartian, and our Spanish-speaking director, Mario Hernandez, occasionally do live radio interviews in their native language.

The statistics available to us here in North America show that the Tomorrow’s World telecast has now been viewed by more than five million households in Canada and the United States. And the Tomorrow’s World magazine circulation of nearly 200,000 is now reaching 130 of the world’s nations and dependencies. Every week now, our office here in Charlotte, North Carolina, is receiving 4,000 to 5,000 responses—from telephone calls, letters, cards and e-mail requests. Last year alone we mailed out, totally free of charge, more than 1.9 million magazine copies, booklets, letters, Bible Study Course lessons, reprint articles, videotapes and audiotapes. This Work has never asked the public for one dime, and we are not asking you now. This way of doing God’s Work, we think, is a miracle by itself. We rely on Jesus Christ to move the hearts of our viewers and subscribers to support this Work. We think this is God’s way, and He has blessed us all along. The Bible says, "…Freely have you received. Freely give" (Matthew 10:8). We hope you have been blessed by this Work of love.

In addition to helping you understand the end-time prophecies and the true way to eternal life in God’s Kingdom, we of Tomorrow’s World are able to give you often-neglected biblical principles about child rearing, building strong families and your own physical health. We know that there is now an absolute wave of concern over health issues. Millions of families in our modern society are overwhelmed—both physically and financially—with concerns involving obesity, high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, cancer and a host of other ailments. According to the Centers for Disease Control, more than 30 percent of all deaths in the United States are the result of heart disease. Twenty-three percent of Americans die from cancer. Tobacco use is a factor in 19 percent of deaths. Poor diet and lack of exercise cause the deaths of one of every seven Americans—14 percent!

Unfortunately, these health concerns are destined to worsen dramatically in years to come. The terrible conditions of drought, famine and disease epidemics, which Jesus Christ directly predicted, are really going to occur! For, answering His disciples’ queries about "signs" pointing to the end of this age, Jesus prophesied, "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows" (Matt. 24:7-8).

The use of the word "pestilence" would undoubtedly indicate diseases of epidemic proportions—such as the "bubonic plague" which killed millions of people during the Middle Ages. The real Jesus of the Bible is warning about coming disease epidemics from which untold millions will die. The "pale horse" of Revelation 6:8 is a clear reminder of the enormous sufferingbrought about at the end of this age because of man’s rebellion against the laws of God!

Frankly, the increase in AIDS, Epstein-Barr and other "incurable" diseases is only a small prelude to the massivedisease epidemics prophesied in the Bible. As most of you realize, even now medical science has no real "cure" for cancer, diabetes or a host of other ailments—let alone AIDS. So how will you and your loved ones fare in the widespread disease epidemics clearly predicted in God’s Word?

And how can we all have God’s help when sickness comes?

Though we need to "do our part" in a wise and balanced way, sometimes seeking help from medical professionals, there is only one source we can turn to in total confidence. That source is Almighty God. And I am not talking merely about seeking some sentimental "comfort" from the distant God whom you hope is "out there" somewhere. I am talking about the real Spirit Personality who is intervening, even now, and guiding major prophetic events in this world today. I am talking about the realJesus Christ of your Bible, who constantly healed the sick and cast out demons as an important part of His ministry. Notice Matt. 4:23-24, "And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people. Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them."

As we know, the Bible is the revelation of the mind of God. It reveals the way God thinks and the way God acts. It shows us that one of the "key" ways by which God reveals where He is working is by the "signs" given in Mark 16. Notice: "‘And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.’ So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen" (Mark 16:17-20).

The Bible does not say that these "signs" will follow merely the apostles. It says these signs will follow "those who believe." God’s Word reveals that not only were the apostles given the power to heal the sick and cast out demons (Matt. 10), but "seventy others" were also given that power (Luke 10:1-17). So, in addition to the apostles, thirty-five two man "teams" were sent out by Jesus and were able to heal the sick and cast out demons!

Later we find that, after being ordained as a deacon, "Stephen, full of faith and power did great wonders and signs among the people" (Acts 6:8). Then Philip, also a deacon, went down to the people of Samaria and preached Christ to them. "And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed" (Acts 8:6-7). At that time even Simon the sorcerer "believed" and was amazed, "seeing the miracles and the signswhich were done" (v. 13).

The Bible says that "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever" (Heb. 13:8). So as we truly approach the very end of this age, we should expect and ask for God’s intervention and for the promised "gifts of the Spirit" more than we have ever done. Jesus Christ instructs us, "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened" (Matt. 7:7-8).

As you know, very few ministers and churches ever discuss this absolutely vital part of Christ’s teaching and practice—and the continuing practice of early Christianity. But we in this Work of the great God are different. We are really trying to restore the beliefs and practices of apostolic Christianity—the genuineChristianity of Jesus and the apostles. We know that—if we do this—it will bring untold blessings and opportunities, and additional protection and guidance in the perilous years just ahead.

We want to share with all of you faithful subscribers the solid, Bible-based understanding of God’s healing power. It is not based on human reason, human emotion or an iron-lunged evangelist yelling at people in some tent meeting. It is based upon truly following the example of Jesus and the original Church of God described in the book of Acts. And it "works"! For thousands of people have been supernaturally healed by putting their faith and trust in God.

We have prepared for you a thorough and inspiring booklet explaining in detail the true biblical approach to healing. It explains what you should do on your own—and what you should do and what you should expect if you decide to ask your Creator, through Jesus Christ, to go above and beyond what man can do and supernaturally heal you.

This attractive booklet, Does God Heal Today?, is our gift to you. All you need to do is request this booklet and it will be sent absolutely free and postpaid. Just insert the enclosed card in the pre-addressed envelope.

All of us at Tomorrow’s World want to thank you for being a loyal subscriber, and for your prayers for this Work of faith. It is our privilege to serve you, in the realization that we are part of the most important activity given to any humans—preparing for Christ’s Second Coming and the Kingdom of God on earth. God speed that day!

With Christian love,
